If you don’t need parental consent, I guarantee that the person is not a professional.

You do need parental consent, but you should wait until you are older to decide. Once you pierce your face that hole can stay there forever. I have a friend who is completely self-conscious about a piercing she had done on her face. Experiment with some stick on piercings (they actually look really cool), or some bindy. There are all kinds of temporary things you can do.

Yes, and you do not want to go to someone who will do it without consent or ID to confirm your age. Those that do this are shady and if they are willing to break the laws in this one very simple area what about laws for autoclaves and steralized materials? What about the spread of diseases and blood in these places? Very sketchy.

I will never pierce a person under 18 (even for simple ears) who do not have the parent there with them. I have gotton a few cranky pissed off teens but you know what the happy customers are VERY happy with my services and the parents are happy with me for not doing it on their child until the law says they are aloud.

Seriously wait until you find a good clean reputable piercer who knows what they are at, it will save you a whole lot of pain, infection, possable diseases and misery from your parents. If you do go ahead and get someone else maek sure it is done with a hollow needle and not a gun or solid needle. Guns should be never aloud and if used only on the fleshy lower lobes of ears, and solid needles, like guns, only push the flesh and cartlidge to the side instead of removing it, this is why many get cystes, scar tissue and knobs not to mention increased healing time and increase risk for infection.

    Never do this yourself, please.

    of course you do.
and if thats what your mom wants why dont you wait?
    =/
parents have reasons for these things.

You do have to be 18-but, to con you out of this. My friend just got a part of her ear pierced by a “professional” when she was 16. She had to go to a hospital a few days later and they had to remove part of her ear.
The kid who did it was in high school.
    So don’t lose your nose.
It won’t look good-besides, nose rings can lead to higher rates of infections than ears do.

Not only do you need parental consent, your parent needs to be present. Now you know, we all know about forged papers. we also know about the friend, posing as the parent. This is the reason for Identification. Any reputable piercer will not take the chance, to steer clear away from any lawsuits honey. Piercings of a minor are legal only if the legal guardian or parent is present, giving consent. If not, you have to wait until you are of legal age to give consent for yourself.

you need consent till your 13, after that you can get every part of you pierced. I don’t recommend getting every part of you pierced though:)
